Manifesto
The elephant in the room:
Homelessness is treated like a weather pattern — unfortunate, complex, eternal. That framing is convenient. It lowers expectations. We reject it.
Low standards create permanent cycles.
Temporary placement without stabilization produces predictable returns. Fragmented systems reward throughput. The result is movement without progress.
Process over permanence
If success is defined by paperwork and referrals, we’ll get paperwork and referrals — not stability.
Temporary fixes
Short-term relief is not a housing strategy. It’s a holding pattern with a feel-good sticker.
Success theater
Counting “touches” and “services” isn’t impact. Impact is someone staying housed.
Our stance
Los Angeles has committed people and organizations. But the system too often rewards process over permanence.
We exist to prove a higher standard.
Permanent exits. • Zero returns.
What we’ll publish
As pilots launch, we’ll publish what matters: placements, retention, and returns (or lack of them). Not vibes.
- People housed (placements)
- Housing retention over time
- Returns to homelessness
- Partner capacity and pipeline health
